There is a common concern in statistics that the reliability of measurements between raters will be low. This is typically referred to as intra-rater reliability.
The goal of this paper is to provide a framework for estimating and assessing the reliability of measurements between raters. We first briefly review some of the conceptual issues related to reliability, before presenting a model for estimating intra-rater reliability.
We then apply our model to two data sets, one of which is from a research study.
