Dependence

Statistical dependence is a relationship between two or more variables where the change in one variable is associated with a change in another variable.

Dependence can be measured using correlation coefficients and can be represented by a graph.

Dependence can be used to identify relationships between variables, to determine the causes of changes in one variable, and to make predictions about future changes.
