Tips and Advice to Build Resilience

“Enthusiasm is common. Endurance is rare.”
― Angela Duckworth

Make connections.

Avoid seeing crises as insurmountable problems.

Accept that change is a part of living.

Move toward your goals.

First, recognize that your struggle is valid, no matter what you’re struggling with.

Take decisive actions.

Then realize the ways you’re already resilient.

Be compassionate with yourself and realize all the ways adversity has made you strong.

Find your favorite way to take a mental break.

Don’t wait for the situation to fix itself.

Know your strengths and use them.

Don’t try to do it alone…

At least once a week spend quality time with someone who inspires you.

Think of the larger purpose of your life. Live your days aligned with that sense of purpose.

Embrace your vulnerability. Be authentic.

Recognize that most people are struggling in their own unique way.

Be kind, especially to yourself.

Lower your threshold to feel grateful.

Instead of fighting the uncontrollable, creatively work with what is.

Look for opportunities for self-discovery.

Nurture a positive view of yourself.

 Keep things in perspective.

Maintain a hopeful outlook.

Take care of yourself.

Change how you respond to situations.

“The oak fought the wind and was broken, the willow bent when it must and survived.”
― Robert Jordan

“‎Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Never pity yourself. Be a hard master to yourself-and be lenient to everybody else.”
― Henry Ward Beecher
