The Hyper-Graeco-Latin Square Design is a type of geometric design that originated in the Hellenistic period of ancient Greece and Rome.
The design is composed of nine squares arranged in a hyper-graeco-latin pattern. Each square has the same shape, but the colors are different.
The pattern is named after the three languages that were used in the Mediterranean region during this period: Greek, Latin, and Aramaic.
