Siphoning is a process of transferring liquid from one container to another by means of a tube inserted into the first container and bent so that the open end dips below the surface of the liquid.
The tube is then inserted into the second container and air is expelled from the tube, causing the liquid to be drawn up into the tube and transferred to the second container.
