Simple Pendulum

A simple pendulum is a massless object attached to a pivot point by a light string. When the object is displaced from the equilibrium position, it begins to oscillate about the pivot point.

The restoring force provided by the string causes the object to swing back and forth in an arc-like motion. The period of oscillation (T) is dependent on the length of the string, the mass of the object, and the gravitational acceleration (g).
