A series circuit is a circuit in which all the components are connected in a chain, so that the current flows through each component in turn. This type of circuit is very simple to construct, and is often used in basic electrical circuits.
In a series circuit, the total resistance is equal to the sum of the individual resistances. If any one of the components in the circuit fails, then the entire circuit will stop working.
