Rest Frame

The rest frame is the frame of reference in which the object being observed is at rest. In physics, this is typically defined as the frame of reference in which the observer is at rest.

When using complex academic jargon, professors will typically use this term to discuss objects that are either stationary or moving at a constant velocity.
