Relative humidity

Relative humidity is the ratio of the amount of water vapor in the air to the maximum amount of water vapor that the air could hold at that temperature.

In other words, it’s a measure of how much water is in the air compared to how much the air could potentially hold. When relative humidity reaches 100%, it means that the air is holding as much water vapor as it can and any additional moisture will begin to condense out.

This can cause problems like mold growth and corrosion.
