Pseudo-random Number Sampling

Pseudo-random number sampling (PRN) is a technique used in statistics to generate samples that appear to be randomly generated.

PRN is used when the researcher does not have access to true random numbers or when it is not desirable to reveal the algorithm used to generate the samples.
