Projection Pursuit Regression

Projection pursuit regression is a basic statistical methodology used to explore relationships between two or more variables.

It is a type of linear regression where the researcher attempts to find out how one variable (x) influences another (y) after controlling for other potentially influencing variables.

In simple terms, this technique tries to determine how much variation in y can be explained by variations in x across different groups of samples.
