Price Signaling

In the context of marketing, price signaling is the use of prices to communicate information about products or services.

This can take a number of different forms, including setting a price high enough to signal quality but low enough to still be affordable, setting a price that is reflective of market conditions but not too high or low, and offering rebates or other incentives to customers who purchase a product or service at a certain price.
