Line-intercept Sampling

Line-intercept sampling is a type of sampling where the researcher selects a unit, such as a household or individual, at random and then selects a representative sample of that unit.

The researcher then uses the selected samples to estimate population parameters. The line-intercept method is often used to estimate means and variances.
