The Least Absolute Deviations (LAD) statistic is used to compare the magnitude of individual values in a set of data. This statistic is often used in statistics to identify outliers and to assess the variability of a set of data.
The LAD statistic measures the distance between the most extreme value in a set of data and the rest of the data. The smaller the LAD statistic, the more variability is present in the data.
