Junction Tree Algorithm

A junction tree algorithm is a data structure used in statistics to find the shortest path from one observation to another. Junction trees are similar to binary search trees, but they have additional nodes that represent pairs of observations.

The algorithm walks through the tree, looking for the shortest path between two observations.
