Insider Trading

In finance, insider trading is when an individual who is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or a similar organization trades securities within the meaning of the SEC’s rules without having first had those securities registered with the SEC.

This could include, but is not limited to, trading in securities that have been made available to the public through a news release or other disclosure process.
