Grubbs’s test is used to identify outliers in a data set. It is named after its developer, W. Grubbs.
The test is performed by identifying the largest value in a data set and then testing to see if the value is statistically different from the other values in the data set.
If the value is statistically different, then the data set may be considered an outlier and should be examined further.
