Gaussian Noise

Gaussian noise is a type ofrandom noise that has a characteristic distribution. The probability density function of gaussian noise is shaped like a bell curve, with most values occurring near the middle of the curve and fewer values happening near the extremes.

This makes gaussian noise especially good at representing randomvariables that have a more spread-out distribution, like temperature measurements taken over an entire day or financial data collected over several months.
