Familywise Error Rate

A familywise error rate is a statistic used to quantify the accuracy of a study’s results. It is defined as the percentage of times that the sum of the errors in a group of data points is greater than the number of data points in that group.

The purpose of using a familywise error rate is to ensure that the results of a study are accurate, and that no individual data point is more significant than any other data point.
