An expander walk sampling procedure is used to estimate population parameters in a study with a sample that is not necessarily representative of the population.
The walk begins at one end of the population and moves down the line, counting every other individual.
This process is repeated until all individuals are counted. The resulting sample is then used to calculate population parameters.
