Design matrix is a tool used in statistics to identify relationships between two or more variables. In general, the design matrix can be thought of as a table that lists all possible combinations of variables (categories) and levels of each variable.
The rows of the design matrix correspond to the levels of each variable, and the columns correspond to the categories or types of data.
The value in a cell (row or column) represents the percentage of cases in which a particular combination of variables appears together.
