Credible Interval

Credible intervals in statistics are intervals that can be used to estimate the size of a population parameter.

When studying a particular population, it is often helpful to have a range of values for that population parameter.

For example, suppose you are studying the height of high school students. You might want to know the range of heights for all high school students (i.e., 5’2″-5’10”), 5’11”-6’1″, or anything in between.
