Contrast (statistics)

Statistical contrasts are a common tool in statistical analysis. They allow us to compare groups of data while controlling for potential sources of bias.

Contrasts can be used to test hypotheses, to identify relationships between variables, and to explore the effects of variables on outcomes.

There are several types of statistical contrasts that can be used in research: within-group contrasts, between-group contrasts, and repeated measures contrasts.
