Contiguity (probability Theory)

In statistics, contiguity refers to the probability of two or more events occurring together.

For example, if we are studying the probability of a student getting a certain grade in a class, we would want to look at how often that grade is given together with all of the other grades the student has gotten in that class.

This is because there is a greater chance that the student will get that particular grade if it is given along with other good grades.
