A conditional random field (CRF) is a type of probabilistic graphical model used in machine learning and natural language processing.
It is a directed graph consisting of a set of vertices, or nodes, and a set of edges connecting them.
Each edge is associated with a condition, or label, and the edges between two nodes are said to be dependent if the condition on one edge affects the probability of the other edge being present.
