Coherence (statistics)

Coherence, in statistics, refers to the degree to which data points within a given dataset are clustered together.

This clustering can be measured in a variety of ways, including by calculating the correlation coefficient between pairs of data points or by using a technique known as principal components analysis.

Generally speaking, the more coherent a dataset is, the easier it will be to draw conclusions from it.
