Economic Value Added

In economics, economic value added (EVA) is a concept that refers to the benefits received by a company or product in addition to the costs incurred in producing and selling that product.

EVA can be measured in different ways, but typically it is based on two measures: sales and profit.

The two most common methods of calculating economic value added are net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR).
