The Avogadro Constant (N A ) is the number of atoms or molecules in one mole of a substance. It is a proportionality constant that relates the size of a sample to the number of particles in that sample.

The value of N A is 6.022×1023 particles per mole. This constant is used to calculate the mass or volume of a substance from its molar mass or molar volume.
